I am a Licensed Social Worker and attained my Master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois. I have always been passionate about helping and listening to others and found that outpatient mental health was the best way to utilize my talents. It is important to me that I provide a save, comfortable, and positive space for my clients to open up and be heard.
I am comfortable working with people of all ages and have experience working with a variety of people from different walks of life. I am also comfortable treating most mental health issues. I have the most training in treating children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and depression, survivors of sexual assault, and clients with eating disorders.
In order for my clients to feel safe and comfortable, I use a variety of different therapeutic techniques. In my practice, I most often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy in addition to mindfulness techniques, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic theory.
My goal for providing therapy is to give my clients a space to make them feel important, understood, and strong. I believe that each person possesses unique qualities that make them who they are and it is my job to make sure that each of my clients feels like they have the potential to reach their goals and live a positive, healthy life.
