I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 3 years of experience providing services in both inpatient and outpatient settings to a wide variety of populations. I received my Master’s degree from the University of Illinois.
I have experience with a wide variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship/couples counseling, sexual health and wellness, substance abuse, trauma, and more. I primarily work with adults 18-65+ and couples. I enjoy working with college students as they experience the joys and struggles of school. I also specialize in working with active military and veterans. I have significant experience navigating struggles that veterans face such as readjusting to society after discharge and lost identity.
I don’t promote any particular therapeutic technique over another. I am a firm believer in matching the client to the therapeutic technique that we both think will work best. It could be cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused/goal oriented therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, or simply listening without judgement.
I am also a firm believer in client self determination because ultimately your life is your journey and I am just here for a part of it. I look forward to getting a chance to work with you.
