I feel comfortable saying that most people can benefit from therapy whether they are experiencing difficulties or transitions. If a person has never seen a therapist, I certainly understand that taking the first step can be a little frightening. My goal as a therapist is to relieve that fear and help clients discover that investing in themselves can be rewarding. I am passionate about empowering clients to make their desired change and support them on their personal journey.
I also believe that every client is unique, which means my therapy style is eclectic. There is no “one size fits all” therapy; if one approach isn’t helping, then I’m committed to finding the one that will. The main therapeutic modalities that I utilize include cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused (strength based), person-centered, and EMDR approaches. I work with clients struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, marital/family conflict, and adjustment issues. My mission is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where individuals feel accepted and respected.
