I am both a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois and a registered nurse with a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree from Loyola University.
I am a dedicated mental health professional with over thirty-nine years of experience in various healthcare settings. During these years I have worked with a variety of individuals from many walks of life. My background in both medical and mental health work, in addition to my own life experiences, has honed my expertise.
Being a clinician studied in cognitive behavioral therapy, I believe that negative moods and feelings can be successfully treated by identifying cognitive errors and replacing them with positive and accurate alternatives. While I can pull from a variety of treatment methods, I typically rely on cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. I have experience in treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorders, addictions, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and many other clinical disorders.
