I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois obtaining my degree in Social Work. My previous work experience was working at the Center for Youth and Family Solutions providing case management. During this time, I had experience working with different races, genders, ethnicities, age, socioeconomic statuses, and sexual orientations. I am eager to help adolescents, teens, younger adults, and couples. I like to utilize a strengths-based, person-centered treatment with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
It is my job as a social worker to speak up for those who are unable to do so for themselves. I want to be able to represent clients and provide resources as needed. My desire to assist others has always been a strong suit of mine. Every client, in my opinion, deserves a chance to seek therapy without being judged based on their history. I am a firm believer in the value of each individual. What has occurred to you in the past has no bearing on who you are today. The decisions my clients have made in the past have no bearing on who they are now. There is always hope and potential for improvement. With time, I hope to have a positive impact on the lives of adolescents, teens, younger adults, and couples to be able to watch them grow and try to be the greatest version of themselves.
