I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois and a Master of Sciences Degree in Family Services from Eastern Illinois University. I have served in the Mental Health Field in various capacities for the past 13 years years including community mental health employment, providing crisis mental health services, working in a residential treatment facility, clinical case management in a psychiatric hospital, working with addictions, and providing medical social work services.
It is my goal to provide a safe, open, and confidential environment to foster trust, and empower individuals and families in achieving personal growth and healing. I have extensive experience in family therapy, behavior modification, addictions and chronic health problems. I hold a strong belief in the impact of the family system on success and stability. I enjoy helping *individuals and families* work together to better understand family dynamics and behaviors in relationship to the impact on the family system. I utilize a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused approaches within session, helping individuals to access these innate skills and abilities during times of challenge and stress.
