Kathleen Wirth-Couch

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a National Certified Counselor. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical and School Counseling from Eastern Illinois University. I have 20+ years of experience counseling people. I began my counseling career working with active duty military populations and their families. I am currently a Veterans advocate assisting active duty and military retirees. In addition to my passion for assisting those who have served our country (and their families), I have extensive experience in school and clinical settings with a history of specializing in child and adolescent issues and have a keen ability to interpret the rigors of school settings.

Having a variety of experience working with individuals from ages 5 to senior populations, I have a natural sense of empathy and compassion. I am positive about helping individuals and families instill healthy change. I am passionate about empowering people as they journey through the process of self-awareness and acceptance. I now also work with individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of mental health and relational challenges. I use an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities. I believe the client’s input is paramount in formulating a treatment plan that leads to a healthy outcome that is sustainable.

Whether you are an individual, couple, or family, my goal is to provide you with a comfortable, safe and nonjudgmental environment to process your life’s challenges and reach your fullest potential and healthiest selves.
