I am a Licensed Social Worker, with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois. My passion is working with people in need of a safe, therapeutic place to address childhood trauma, sexual abuse, relationships, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.
I believe healing takes place when a therapeutic atmosphere is created. I strive to meet people where they are and use a strength-based approach. I have experience utilizing therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and a variety of grief and loss modalities. I also enjoy implementing Christian counseling as requested.
I am comfortable working with individuals of all ages. I have experience working in youth residential settings, adult residential settings, child welfare agencies, outpatient mental health, and hospice.
