I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addictions counselor and have over 17 years of experience in outpatient treatment in substance use disorders. I have experience counseling clients who struggle with a variety of mental health issues, including depression and anxiety. I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois and have completed all of my coursework for my Master’s in Social Work degree. I am interested in working with emerging adults, and adult individuals dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, substance misuse/abuse and trauma. I believe in a strength-based perspective that will emphasize an individual’s strengths and determination while in adverse conditions. I hope to implement the material I learned into therapy sessions to further collaborate and challenge clients to help fulfill their needs.
