If you have Aetna and you’ve been putting off finding a therapist, the insurance piece doesn’t have to be the thing that slows you down. Keri Powell Therapy is in-network with Aetna, which means your benefits apply and we handle the billing on our end.
We have offices in Champaign, downtown Champaign, Mahomet, Monticello, Bloomington, and Oak Brook, and we offer telehealth to clients anywhere in Illinois. Whether you want to come in or connect from home, both are real options with the same therapists.
Using Your Aetna Benefits for Therapy
Aetna covers outpatient mental health services under most of its plans. Because Aetna offers a wide range of plan types, what you actually pay will depend on your specific plan’s deductible, copay, and coinsurance structure. A few things that are consistent across most Aetna plans:
- In-network therapy visits cost less than out-of-network. As an in-network provider, we bill Aetna directly at the negotiated rate.
- Most Aetna plans do not require a referral for outpatient mental health services. You can reach out to us directly.
- Telehealth therapy is covered under most Aetna plans, including for ongoing care, not just initial visits.
- If you haven’t met your deductible yet, you may pay the full session rate until it’s met. We’ll be upfront with you about what to expect.
When you contact us, we’ll verify your Aetna benefits before your first appointment so you know what your sessions will cost. No guessing.
What to Expect When You Reach Out
Getting started is straightforward. You reach out, we verify your Aetna coverage, and we match you with a therapist who fits what you’re looking for.
Matching matters. We have therapists who specialize across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and more. We take the time to find the right fit rather than just filling the next available slot.
Keri Powell Therapy has been part of Central Illinois for over 15 years. We’re a group practice, which means you have access to multiple therapists and a range of specialties without having to search across different offices or networks.
Your first session is about getting to know each other. You’re not locked in, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out before you show up.
