I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Eastern Illinois University.
I am comfortable working with clients of all ages, from children to adults. I am equipped to support clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder, trauma, autism, grief, boundary setting, and the challenges that come from being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. I incorporate skills from various modalities, such as: cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, art and play therapy, psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis, and rational emotive behavioral therapy. I like to be flexible and work collaboratively with my clients, in an attempt to give them the best possible care. I very much pride myself on my ability to create an environment where my clients feel comfortable and accepted.
I understand that therapy can be an intimidating process, but I encourage anyone considering therapy to take that first step, and make an appointment. As long as you are willing and open to the process, it can be highly beneficial, and in some cases, life-changing.
Abby offers phone and video appointments.
