Anna Asplund

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, received in 2018. I have worked in social services since 2014 in a variety of settings, including residential treatment, community mental health, and private practice. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults as they cope with a variety of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, trauma, grief, and religious transitions.

Building a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship is a top priority for me. I utilize holistic and client-centered approaches and I believe strongly in having a collaborative relationship between therapist and client. I will strive to meet you where you’re at so we can work together on your therapeutic goals. While I am comfortable using a variety of therapeutic modalities, I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed practices, and child-centered play therapy.

Anna practices at our Champaign location.
