Brandon Carson

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Metropolitan State University in Denver Colorado with over fourteen years of experience in social work, starting with organizing for labor and community campaigns, followed by working with veterans who were experiencing homelessness.

I work with individual adults and couples, providing talk therapy from a Humanistic-strengths based perspective, while assisting clients in addressing issues related to their anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use and abuse, self-regulation, wellness and growth. I am equally comfortable in utilizing a person-centered approach or a more collaborative style, depending upon the strengths and needs of the client. I draw from a combination of models and techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and motivational interviewing.

I believe that reciprocal relationships with ourselves and others are central to it all, from the origins and explanations, to the interventions and maintenance. In short, relationships are the problem, relationships are the solution, and relationships are how we maintain. I look forward to providing clients with a caring, therapeutic relationship that is as hopeful as it is capable of supporting the realization of their intended goals and their growth towards their full potential.
