I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in community counseling from Eastern Illinois University. Over my 28 year career I have worked in many settings including out-patient therapy, in-patient treatment, residential treatment and crisis assessment. During this time I have had experience working with youth, adolescents, adults and families of diverse backgrounds.
I work in tandem with my clients to develop an individualized approach to therapy to meet their varied needs. I am comfortable utilizing a number of different modalities to provide the best outcomes for my clients. I have been trained in Experiential Play Therapy, Sand Play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other expressive therapies such as art therapy. I take a trauma informed approach to my provision of services for my clients.
I truly have the best job in the world, working with people to help them make positive growth in their lives. I enjoy the diversity of individuals I get to work with and strive to help my clients develop new strategies to deal with life issues and to utilize their innate strengths to move forward toward healing and happiness in life.
