I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in central Illinois. I worked for a community mental health agency for the last five years, two years being an outpatient counselor. I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. While working at the community health center, I gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, I have experience working with depression, anxiety, and other adjustments or emotional concerns people struggle with within their daily lives.
I am devoted to establishing a strong rapport with clients while recognizing counseling as a collaborative process. I believe it’s important that clients feel safe when sharing their innermost thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I recognize that it’s hard to start the therapeutic process, so we will work at your pace. Although I believe the client is in control of their treatment progress, I am there to assist with guiding them as needed to improve their quality of life.
I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities when working with clients, such as Person-centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, and other evidence-based practices as needed.
