I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I enjoy working with children, teens, and young adults. Most of my clinical expertise is in supporting individuals who struggle with behavioral issues, attention deficit struggles, anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and trauma.
I strive to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all clients. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as Expressive Therapies. I am also a trained EMDR therapist and have success in helping individuals heal from stressful and traumatic experiences. I work with each person to identify their strengths to build upon them. Oftentimes, I also help young people build a “toolbox” of coping strategies to help them in areas where they need extra support such as in regulating emotions or building emotional tolerance.
Emily practices at our Champaign location.
