I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. I obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I have worked as a clinician in community mental health for the last four years, where I provided mental health services to adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. I have also worked in a variety of social service settings, providing services to children and families for over 15 years.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that helps to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have more meaningful life experiences. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities which include Person-Centered Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based treatments to provide an integrative approach to adapt therapy interventions to meet each client’s individual needs. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for the clients I serve in order to promote a safe space for healing.
