Kacie Waterman

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois. I have worked in many settings, including out-patient therapy, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health. During this time I have had experience working with youth, adolescents, adults, and families of diverse backgrounds.

I enjoy assisting clients with a wide variety of mental health issues, including: depression, anxiety, anger, ADHD, substance abuse, grief, stress, trauma, personality disorders, psychosis, and mood disorders. I draw strategies and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Grief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Client/Person-Centered Therapy.

I strongly believe that every person is unique. My therapeutic style and modalities will change due to the needs and wants of the client. My goal is for each client to feel safe and comfortable within a judgment-free environment.
