I have been serving in the mental health field in various capacities since 2011 related to chronic mental illness and mental health crises. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor providing outpatient therapy since 2015 with a focus on anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, and relationship issues. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and teens. My interventions focus largely on Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as portions of Motivational Interviewing skills. I am also willing to work through spiritual issues or provide Christian counseling where desired.
I believe we live imperfect lives and are touched in painful ways by an imperfect world. However, there are also joys to be maximized amid these pains. I enjoy creating an empathetic environment to process these struggles and then mindfully return the focus to desired goals. I am enthusiastic about helping people identify inner strengths that may be overlooked while responding to difficult events. I believe that the pain of our struggles can be leveraged as energy to invest in the task of making positive changes in our lives.
