I am a graduate of the Master of Social Work program here at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a mental health therapist, I’ve learned a few key things essential in supporting clients on their journey:
- Healing and coping are unique to each individual
- A safe, supportive client-counselor connection is vital for progress in therapy
- Therapy doesn’t need to feel intimidating or clinical
I am passionate about offering inclusive and welcoming services, providing a safe, judgment-free space for those starting or returning to therapy. It’s important that we connect, allowing you to work through whatever is weighing on you. I have experience working with children (ages 8+), teens, and adults, and specialize in areas like depression, anxiety, self-esteem, neurodiverse communities, and traumatic experiences/complex trauma. My practice is LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming. Because therapy is not one-size-fits-all, I adapt modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, play therapy, and EMDR to best fit your needs. If you’re even a little excited or ready to begin therapy, I invite you to join me.
Mary practices at our Champaign location.
