Shelby Brewer

I am a licensed clinical social worker who enjoys working with all age groups. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Southern Illinois University and have experience working with individuals who struggle with a variety of diagnosis and adjustments.

I believe that even the good things can be hard sometimes and that everyone could use somewhere to unpack and process through life’s challenges and changes. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the journey someone finds themselves on when they commit to walking through the door for their first therapy session. I am committed to creating a judgement free, comfortable, and safe environment for people in all seasons of life to process their struggles and celebrate their strengths.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities when working with individuals including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. I am also willing to utilize a faith-based approach to therapy to provide Christian counseling when requested.

I believe that individuals have the ability to change how their story reads and with a little insight, hard work, and validation, we can get there. Treatment is not “one size fits all,” so come as you are, and we will go at your pace.
