Shelli Billingsley

I am a licensed counselor and received my Master’s Degree in 2001 from the University of Illinois in Springfield. Prior to entering private practice, I worked as a junior high and high school counselor for 25 years. I have also worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility with both adults and adolescents. Most recently, I have been employed in child welfare with families involved with DCFS in foster care and reunification of families when appropriate. My employment experience in different fields has allowed me to see life from many perspectives and viewpoints. It has also given me ample opportunity to work with teens, adults, and families in numerous settings.

My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for clients to address trauma, life stressors, depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar, eating disorders, and/or gender identity. I am comfortable with most ages and areas of concern. I view therapy in a holistic approach, but I am skilled in CBT and DBT approaches. I address issues with a strength-based and trauma-informed approach to help with your personal health and healing goals. Our counseling journey will include goal setting, open communication, and helping you develop strategies and skills to cope with life’s struggles.

Shelli practices at our Champaign and Monticello locations.
