I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have worked in the community in various areas including child welfare, residential group homes for the developmentally disabled, managed care, and in a correctional setting. I am comfortable working with populations that have highly complex mental health problems.
I base my treatment on strengths and needs, then apply the most appropriate interventions at that time. However, I rely heavily on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. When requested, I can deploy a Christian faith-based approach as well. I am most impactful by working with teens, adults, and couples.
I believe that life is a journey, and sometimes it gets hard, and we don’t know what our next steps should be. I would be honored to have the privilege of accompanying you on this journey as you seek the skills to improve yourself and figure out those next steps. Although I am a professional, I realize that the people I work with are really the experts at articulating what their needs and the goals that they want to reach.
